"This sculpture is my depiction of the Nordic god Odin. This depiction represents Odin as the archetypal shaman. At the base, the world serpent wraps around the lower part of the sculpture. Above the serpent are images of a whale, water bear, and giant eagle, creatures that Odin would transform into to see the world through their eyes. The upper portion of the sculpture shows Odin drinking water from the Well of Wisdom. Opposite Odin is the image of the giant serpent/dragon who dwells in the roots of the Tree of Life. Below the dragon is the image of the gyrfalcon and the giant eagle, who both reside at the very top of the Tree of Life."
