DAY 2

From her 2025 series, Seven Days of Creation, Day 2 presents Judith's interpretation of the separation of the waters above from the waters below, creating the sky to divide the heavens from the earth.
 
In this series, Judith revisits the biblical stories of her childhood as 'stories' that transmit truths about the world and our place in it. For Judith, returning to the Christian origin story is not necessarily an affirmation of its literal truth but rather, an invitation to reflect on the origin of the universe, the evolution of life, and our place in it.
 
"This thing called life, so compelling yet such a mystery, is offered here as a painterly meditation imitating each stage of the creation story. It is my hope that this series offers viewers the invitation to think about the cosmos, to contemplate its glorious magnificence, dynamic energy, and sublime beauty."
