Storis of Nuliajuk originate from the ancestral lands of eastern siberia and have spread across Alaska, the Canadian Arctic, and Greenland. In Siberian traditions, she is revered as the great-grandmother. In northern Alaska, she appears as a fierce sea creature, and throughout the Canadian Arctic and Greenland, she is known as the mother and guardian of all marine life.
